Drop back date — an explanation.  MN Drop back date – Feb 1st.  2007

Beginning with the 1998-1999 season our State decided not to have optional

qualifiers.  In researching this decision we decided to incorporate what is referred to as a “Drop Back Date”

What this allows you to do is compete an optional gymnast at the next level, provided she has received the mobility score, and drop her back after the competition if you feel she is not ready.  YOU MUST DECLARE her level to the State Statistician by Feb 1st, our “drop back date”.  Failure to declare will lock your gymnast in at that higher level.
